He held up his hand in a halting motion, slightly more animated than necessary. |

Charlie rolled down the window and the young man peered in. His assessment of Charlie was brief, but his assessment of Peggy took a little longer. The man's eyes boldly traced over every curve and angle of her long, well-proportioned legs. |

"We're here to see Theodore Frazier," Charlie announced. He hadn't counted on this; it could be considered the first wrinkle in his plan. Now someone could tie him to this place on this particular weekend, and he had hoped to avoid that. |

The guard poked a battered clipboard through the open window and instructed Charlie to write down his name and license number. "Did anybody ever tell you you look a lot like Mr. Frazier, sir?" He accomplished his duties without once allowing his bloodshot eyes to stray from Peggy's revealing hemline. |

You re not the first person to see the similarity," Charlie smiled and handed the clipboard back to the youth. In the same motion he turned to Peggy and hissed, "For Christ's sake, pull your skirt down or the damn kid's gonna crawl in the car. with us." |
